In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was constituted in SSPU on January , 2023 with the aim of working towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

One of the important functions of IQAC is to develop realistic and attainable quality benchmarks for every Academic and Administrative activity. Benchmarking means fixing standards for all activities on the basis of its own practices and the experiences of others. One of the most critical functioning of IQAC is to keep the University abreast and abuzz with Quality Sustenance activities on a wide gamut of pertinent issues through Workshops / Seminars / Case Studies / Group Discussions / Demonstrations / Panel Discussions / Symposia etc.

Mission

The IQAC shall strive to:

• M1. Promote Quality in Teaching and Learning- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance learner-centric, Outcome-Based     Education (OBE), innovative pedagogy, and best academic practices to achieve excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.
• M2. Strengthen Research and Innovation- Promote a quality-driven ecosystem that encourages research, innovation, consultancy, entrepreneurship, intellectual property creation, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• M3. Institutionalize Quality Assurance- Establish robust quality assurance mechanisms through systematic planning, documentation, academic and administrative audits, stakeholder feedback, benchmarking, and evidence-based decision-making to ensure continuous institutional improvement.
• M4. Foster Ethics, Values, and Inclusive Governance- Promote ethical practices, transparency, accountability, inclusivity, environmental responsibility, and good governance while nurturing human values across all institutional activities.
• M5. Enhance Stakeholder Engagement and Collaborations- Strengthen partnerships with industry, academia, alumni, professional bodies, government agencies, and the community to improve academic quality, employability, innovation, and societal impact.
• M6. Support Accreditation and Sustainable Excellence- Facilitate continuous quality enhancement through accreditation readiness, policy implementation, digital transformation, capacity building, lifelong learning, and alignment with national and international quality standards.
