About Department
The Department of English at Shri Shankaracharya Professional University (SSPU), Bhilai, under the Faculty of Arts, focuses on developing students’ language proficiency, communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, and cultural awareness. Through a learner-centric and outcome-based approach, the department integrates English language, literature, soft skills, professional communication, and digital literacy to prepare students for diverse academic and career opportunities.
The department promotes experiential learning through seminars, workshops, debates, presentations, literary activities, creative writing, and research projects, creating an engaging environment that nurtures confidence, leadership, and lifelong learning.
