About Department
The Department of Hindi at Shri Shankaracharya Professional University (SSPU), Bhilai, is committed to promoting excellence in Hindi language, literature, research, and cultural studies. Functioning under the School of Arts, the Department offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes that provide students with a strong foundation in classical and modern Hindi literature, linguistics, literary criticism, creative writing, translation studies, and research methodology.
The Department adopts a learner-centric and outcome-based approach in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), encouraging critical thinking, innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and the use of digital resources in teaching and research. Students are provided opportunities to participate in seminars, workshops, literary activities, extension programmes, and research initiatives that enhance their academic and professional competencies.
