REPRESENTATIVES of private universities across Chhattisgarh paid a courtesy call on Governor Ramen Deka at Lok Bhavan on Friday.
During the meeting, they discussed the provisions related to the establishment of new private universities under the Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operation) Amendment Bill, 2026. The Governor also shared his views on strengthening and expanding quality higher education in State. Those present included Gajraj Pagaria, Chancellor, MATS University, Raipur; IP Mishra, Chancellor, Shri Shankaracharya Professional University, Bhilai-Durg; Sushil Chandrakar, Chancellor, Bharati University, Durg; Dr Sandeep Arora, Chancellor, Kalinga University, Raipur; Dr Anand Mahalwar, Vice-Chancellor, ISBM University, Gariaband and Raipur; Abhishek Agrawal, Chancellor, Anjaneya University, Raipur; Chinmay Davda, CEO, Davda University, Raipur; and Harjit Singh Hoora, Pro-Chancellor, Columbia University, Raipur.
