SSPU celebrates Chancellor's birthday with zeal
VARIOUS educational institutes being run under the supervision of educationist and Chairman of Shri Gangajali Education Society, I P Mishra on Thursday celebrated his birthday with traditional Indian customs, values and ethos. The events organised on the occasion aimed not merely at celebration, but at instilling awareness among the newer generation regarding India's cultural knowledge tradition, service, and core values.
SSPU Vice-Chancellor Dr Smita Selat highlighted that I P Mishra, Chancellor of Shri Shankaracharya Professional University (SSPU) has a long and inspiring contribution to the field of education. His philosophy is that education should go beyond merely granting degrees and aligning with this vision, his birthday was commemorated across various institutions through diverse Indian traditions. Institutions affiliated with Shri Gangajali Education Society marked the day in unique ways as some welcomed newly-admitted students through Diksharambh (induction) programme, while others organised religious rituals reflecting Indian culture and spiritual heritage. At the medical college, a special worship ceremony including 'Rudrabhishek' was performed and faculty members and students prayed for his long life. Expressing his gratitude, Chancellor Mishra stated that the mission to build society through education must be continuously advanced. Gratitude towards the divine, responsibility towards society, and the significance of life values remain ever-present.
